Start with the facts candidates need
A strong advert helps the right people decide quickly. State the job title, workplace location, work type, schedule, closing date and reporting line before adding promotional language.
Describe the actual work
List the most important daily responsibilities in plain language. Use specific verbs such as serve, pack, drive, clean, record or supervise. Explain unusual physical, travel or shift requirements early.
Separate essential from trainable
Keep essential requirements to what the person genuinely needs on day one. Put skills that can be learned in a separate “useful but not required” section. This makes the vacancy clearer without lowering the standard.
Make pay and conditions understandable
State whether pay is hourly, per shift, weekly, monthly or annual. Explain when commission or variable pay applies. Add the normal working pattern, workplace type and any benefits the employer is ready to confirm.
Remove avoidable warning signs
Before publishing, check that the advert:
- Uses an identifiable organisation and official contact route.
- Never asks candidates to pay for an application, interview or offer.
- Does not request banking passwords, PINs or one-time codes.
- Avoids vague urgency and unsupported income promises.
- Explains the application method and closing date.
Submit a complete role on Jobza
Jobza asks employers for organisation details, duties, requirements, location, work type, schedule, pay fields and a future closing date. Every job enters review before publication. Review means the listing met Jobza's publication checks; it is not a guarantee of hiring outcomes.
