Good interview preparation reduces uncertainty. The goal is not to memorise perfect answers; it is to arrive ready with relevant examples and thoughtful questions.
Before the interview, reread the advert and highlight the three most important responsibilities. Prepare a short example for each one using the situation, action and result structure. Research the employer through its official website and confirm the interviewer's name, time, format and location.
For an in-person interview, plan the route and bring a copy of your CV. For a video interview, test the link, audio, camera and data connection. Join a few minutes early and keep the recruiter's contact details available in case technology fails.
During the conversation, listen to the full question, pause when needed and answer honestly. It is better to explain how you would learn an unfamiliar task than to pretend you already know it. Ask about the team, first-month priorities, working schedule and next steps.
Afterwards, send a brief thank-you message if you have an appropriate contact channel. Record what you learned and any date the employer gave for feedback. Continue with other applications rather than waiting on one outcome.
